Transport: The Sunshine Coast region is served by the Bruce Highway, Sunshine Motorway and the Brisbane-Sunshine Coast rail line, providing industrial estates with excellent access to the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane labour markets, the Brisbane International Airport, Sunshine Coast International Airport and the Port of Brisbane. Water: Part of the Mary Basin catchment area incorporating the region's major rivers: Mary River, Mooloolah River, South and North Maroochy River, Noosa River and tributaries. Major dams and lakes servicing in the region include Lake Cootharabah, Lake Cooroibah, Lake Weyba, Lake McDonald, Cooloolabin Dam, Ewen Maddock Dam, Barroon Pocket Dam, Wappa Dam and Doona Dam. Energy: Natural gas pipelines have been laid along most major roads throughout the region with spur lines easily connected to new and existing commercial premises.
